Timmins_Police_Service_logo_updFour Timmins men are facing multiple charges following an incident that occurred on May 16, 2015.

During the early morning hours, two males had agreed to meet in the area of Spruce St. S in Timmins.

During the pre-arranged meeting between the two individuals involved, three additional males attended and the male victim was assaulted. The suspects demanded money and once funds were received, left the scene. At one point during the incident, a firearm was pointed at the victim.

As a result of the assault, the victim suffered serious stab wounds and was transported to hospital by EMS. The male victim suffered serious injuries that were not life-threatening in nature.

An investigation by the Timmins Police Service’s Criminal Investigation Section has resulted in charges for four individuals involved. Jonathan SERVANT, 26, of Timmins is charged with robbery using a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime, and trafficking of a Schedule II substance (marihuana). Scott RUSSELL, 27, of Timmins is charged with disguise with intent to commit a criminal offence, robbery using a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, and pointing a firearm. Daniel MARTINEAU, 29, of Timmins is charged with robbery using a firearm, possession of property obtained by crime, and disguise with intent to commit a criminal offence. Jacob FORTIN, 18, of Timmins is charged with robbery using a firearm, disguise with intent to commit a criminal offence, and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

All four individuals were held for a bail hearing scheduled for May 19, 2015.
