Timmins_Police_Service_logo_updOn June 29, 2015 at approximately 12:00 p.m., Timmins Police officers executed a search warrant at a residence in Timmins.

The search was part of an ongoing investigation being conducted jointly by the Timmins Police Service Electronic Crimes officer and the North Bay Police Service.

Upon searching the residence, police seized several electronic devices which included computers containing multiple child pornography files.

Following an investigation and examination of items seized, Frank CUDMORE, 57, of Timmins was charged with Importing and Distributing Child Pornography, Possession of Child Pornography, and Accessing Child Pornography.

The accused was released on a Recognizance of Bail, with a court date scheduled for July 21, 2015.

The Timmins Police Service is part of the “Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet”, along with multiple other police services across Ontario. This strategy includes information sharing, as well as an awareness campaign utilizing the website www.cybertip.ca – Canada’s tip line for reporting the online sexual exploitation of children.
