Timmins_Police_Service_logo_updDuring the early morning hours of July 14, 2015, police were dispatched to a report of a suspicious person inside a vehicle in the area of Maple St. N. Upon arrival on scene, police located and arrested the individual.

Further investigation revealed that several vehicles in the area had been entered and various valuables taken, including gift cards and electronics, along with Canadian and American currency.

In relation to this incident, Evan BEAULNE, 32, of Timmins is charged with Theft under $5000, Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5000, and Possession of a Schedule II Substance pursuant to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for July 14, 2015.

The Timmins Police Service continues to receive reports of thefts from vehicles. Residents are reminded that removing all valuables from vehicles and locking vehicles is the most effective way to prevent this type of theft.
