A Timmins native will be a full-time NHLer next season…but it’s not what you think.

TJ Luxmore has been promoted to be a full-time referee, after the 30-year old spent the last couple years splitting time between the NHL and the AHL.

Luxmore has reffed 23 NHL regular season games thus far (and 8 pre-season games).

His first game was November 19, 2013, a 2-0 Nashville Predators win over the Detroit Red Wings.
