After the update on July 21, there were four new fires reported. Subury 36 is under control at 0.2 hectares and is located east of Halfway Lake Provincial Park near Bennet Lake. Chapleau 3 is
under control at 0.4 hectares and is located on an island in Gravelridge Lake. Bancroft 9 and Sudbury 37 are both out at 0.1 hectare.

By early afternoon on July 22, there have been no new fires reported. Currently there are ten active fires in the region, seven of which are being observed in the far north. Sudbury 33 is under control at 0.2 hectares.

The forest fire hazard for the region on July 22 ranges from low to extreme. The areas of most concern are in the southern areas of the region. The Sault Ste. Marie to Elliot Lake area is showing an extreme hazard.
