Timmins_Police_Service_logo_updOver the weekend, Timmins Police officers responded to approximately 250 calls for service.

Of those calls for service, 17 incidents led to individuals being charged for various offences including breach of probation, mischief, harassment, and assault, as well as charges laid under the Liquor License Act and the City’s noise By-Law.

In one incident, an individual now faces drug charges. On Saturday, August 8, officers located and arrested an individual who was wanted by police.

At the time of his arrest, the individual was searched and various drugs were seized, including approximately three grams of crack cocaine, five Fentanyl patches, approximately 40 methamphetamine tablets, as well as approximately $1600 in Canadian currency. The estimated street value of the drugs seized is $3700.

Micheal ALLEN, 35, of Timmins, is charged with three counts of Possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking. He was released on a Promise to Appear in court with a court date set for September 22, 2015.
