street signsGet ready for a new first impression of Timmins.

Director of Public Works Luc Duval says new “Welcome to Timmins” signs are in, and work has already begun to get them put up.

He says one will go at the Kamiskotia/Riverside intersection, and the other on the Glencore Kidd Operations site.

Another sign that’s in is the Service Clubs, which will replace an older sign that was up at the Timmins Chamber of Commerce location across from the McIntyre Arena.

He says one will go in that same location, while the other will be in the area near Home Depot and Canadian Tire in the west end.

Duval mentions Tourism Timmins has new branding up to match the recently received signs, which makes the city look more cohesive and better overall.

Downtown Timmins street signs were also ordered, and are en route.  Duval says those signs, as well as ones to go up in Downtown South Porcupine are targeted for a September installation.
