OPPDuring the early morning hours of August 14, 2015, members of the Cochrane Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) initiated an investigation after responding to a motor vehicle collision between a passenger vehicle and an apartment complex located on Eighth Street in Cochrane, Ontario.

The police investigation revealed that the motor vehicle occupied  by a 27 year old female driver from Port Hope, Ontario, a 19 year old female passenger from Greenstone, Ontario, a 21 year old male passenger from Charlton-Dack, Ontario and a 39 year old male passenger from Cobourg, Ontario struck the involved building, causing substantial damage to the vehicle and building..

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended the scene and transported all four occupants to hospital by ambulance. The female driver and passenger remain in the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both male passengers have since been released.

As a result of the investigation, the 27 year old female driver Tiffany CLARK of Port Hope, Ontario has been arrested and charged contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada with three counts of Driving while ability impaired causing bodily harm, three counts of Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle cause bodily harm, one count of Mischief over $5000 and one count of Breach of probation. In addition, CLARK also stands charged with 2 counts of Possession of a scheduled substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substance Act.

The accused has been released from police custody and is to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cochrane on October 6, 2015.
