NEOnet, Skills Ontario present Women in Tech Conference

Northern College is hosting a Women in Tech conference for girls from grade 8 to grade 12 to teach young girls all about the tech industry.

Organizer for NEOnet CoraLynn Ethier says they want to inform girls about their options for education and it’s important to make them aware of the exciting career options in skilled trades and technology locally in Timmins.

The conference will feature presentations from local guest speakers who will be able to mentor the girls about their tech jobs in the community. There will also be hands-on demonstrations, and a skilled trades and technology relay.

The event will be held in the Northern College cafeteria from 5:00 until 8:45 tonight. It costs $10 to attend and this includes dinner.
