The McIntyre Curling rink is hosting the Northern Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts with four teams putting it all on the hog line for a shot at greatness.

Timmins Curling Club, President Eric Glaister says this is your chance to cheer on the local team and see two of the top 15 curlers in Canada compete.

“You can watch team (Tracy) Fleury, the reigning Northern Ontario Champs, and Krista McCarville who’s been to the Scotties numerous times.”

The Local team is being skipped by Gale Wiseman, along with Vice, Marie-Eve Mongrain, Second, Anya Cybolski, and Lead Danielle Piercy, and Coach, Ken Stewart.

The opening ceremony will feature the Timmins Pipes and Drums Band along with Mayor, Steve Black throwing out the ceremonial first rock.  The event kicks off at 6:30pm from the McIntyre Curling Rink, For ticket info, click here
