angus reelected 2015

It’s back to work for MP Charlie Angus and the rest of the government.

The winter break is over and Angus says Prime Minister Trudeau needs to deliver on is campaign promises – particularly closing the aboriginal education funding gap.

“Is this generation of children going to told to wait like the previous generation or the one before? Mr. Trudeau made a very clear commitment he was going to get money flowing to close the funding gap so he can build schools and get the kids educated.”

He says rural and Northern Ontario infrastructure, along with a concrete plan on pulling Canadian jets out of Syria should be priorities.

“What’s going to happen with Northern and rural infrastructure money?  The Canadian dollar is at a low so are we ready to get this done.”

Angus adds, Trudeau needs to have a concrete plan to have Canadian jet fighters out of Syria and Iraq.  He says it’s been a little confusing but he’s looking forward to working with the relatively new government.

“He just needs to reassure Canadians that he has a real plan together.”
