opp drugs feb 2016On February 25, 2016, the Foleyet Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) conducted a traffic stop on Highway 101 approximately 12 kilometers east of Foleyet.

The investigating officer stopped the vehicle for a Highway Traffic Act offence (HTA).  As a result of the investigation, it was revealed that the driver had drugs inside the vehicle.

The driver, Samuel BEAUDRY-RHEAUME, 22, of Mirabel, Quebec has been charged with the following offences:

  • Possession of Schedule I substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Methamphetamine contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA)
  • Possession of Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking –Cannabis Resin contrary to the (CDSA)
  • Possession of Schedule II substance for the purpose of Trafficking – Cannabis Marijuana contrary to the (CDSA)
  • Careless Driving contrary to the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario (HTA)

He is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Timmins on March 12, 2016.
