Festivals and Events Ontario (FEO) is proud to announce the 2016 Top 100 Festivals & Events in Ontario.

These Top 100 recipients represent festivals and events that excel within the industry. Included in the Top 100 are the Festivals & Events of Distinction, a select group which represent some of the most well-known and respected celebrations in the province; celebrations which draw both an international and domestic audience. Included in the list is the Great Canadian Kayak Challenge & Festival, a recipient of the Top 100 awards 4 times over the last 7 years of programming.
“I’m honoured to accept the Top 100 award again this year on behalf of our varied and generous corporate sponsors, our government partners and the many volunteers that work hard from the trenches to bring about a festival that is like no other. To be recognized by our peers is an honour indeed”, said Guy Lamarche, Co-Chair of the Great Canadian Kayak Challenge & Festival.
“Our government recognizes festivals and events as important economic drivers and we’re proud to support their efforts to create jobs, grow our economy and celebrate our diverse and vibrant cultural identity,” said the Honourable Michael Coteau, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Sport. “I am pleased to join with Festival and Events Ontario in celebrating this year’s Top 100 recipients and I congratulate them all for achieving this honour.”
