Program helping city's homeless looking to move

The Our Place program to help Timmins’ homeless is moving to by next fall.

The program began last October to give our homeless a place to stay warm and eat but board member, Jean Warren says it’s closing for the season and hoping to re-open in a brand new, bigger location.

‘The building we were in (in the basement of the Speak Easy Emporium on Third Ave.) was not accessible and the kitchen was not what it should be for the work we were doing.

She says their numbers are dwindling as the temperature climbs, another reason for closing early
