Timmins Police Service Traffic Sergeant Thomas Chypyha is quoted as saying “This is a less than auspicious start to the summer driving season in Timmins. Considerable efforts to educate and inform the public about the dangers of Impaired Driving are not reaching all motorists. There is a small put persistent segment of the driving population that seem to be all too comfortable placing themselves and others at risk of injury and even death stemming from their choice of taking to the wheel after having consumed alcoholic beverages or narcotics. The Timmins Police Service will continue with its efforts to locate and remove impaired drivers from our roadways.”
