Radical Gardens and the Working Class are at it again and this time, they’re bringing you a street food festival.

Bacon Fest touches down on Second Avenue, in front of The Working Class the weekend of July 15-16 and brings the best of food and beverages that our region has to offer.

The festival kicks off Friday, July 15 at 5 pm and runs until 2 am and Saturday, July 16 from noon and until 2 am.

Day passes run for $30 or $55 for the weekend.

Tickets get you entrance into the festival, access to the beer tent and bands, as well as some sweet swag including a Bacon Fest cup!

Radical Gardens Founder Brianna Humphrey says if you just want to come and eat for the day with your kids, it’s free to enter.

Humphrey adds she “wanted to do something to showcase all the exciting things that have been happening in the region.”

“We’ve got some awesome local restaurants and breweries and a great food culture. It’s time we show it off.”

In attendance will be craft breweries like New Ontario from North Bay, and Stack from Sudbury as well as Broadhead, Muskoka and Steamwhistle to keep attendees hydrated. Vendors like DChef!, Soup There it is, The Miners Son, Le Fromagerie Kapuskoise, and Bussière Sausages will be delighting festival goers with mouth-watering treats.

“We’ve been overwhelmed with positive responses so far. The business community in Timmins is amazing, Tap it, PBL, Urban Windows and Doors, N.E.S, Nascoe Propane, 92.1 Rock, The Timmins BIA and Advanced Security have stepped up to help out.”

“We’re tired of hearing that there is nothing to do in Timmins, and that there is no culture here. Bacon Fest is going to challenge those ideas and prove that Timmins has a lot going on,” says Humphrey.
