The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into two motor vehicle collisions which occurred Thursday afternoon.

The first collision occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cedar Street South and Kirby Street in Timmins.

The collision involved a Chevrolet SUV driven by a 62 year old female Timmins resident who collided with a Honda Civic passenger vehicle being driven by a 53 year old female driver.

Both vehicles sustained damage and one of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene.

One of the drivers and her young passenger required medical attention by EMS staff at the scene.

The Timmins Police Service has charged the 62 year old female Timmins resident with Disobey Stop Sign – Fail to Stop contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

The second collision occurred at approximately 4:55 p.m. at the intersection of Riverside Drive and Joseph Street in Timmins.

The collision involved a 2015 Chevrolet SUV and 2016 Dodge Caravan mini-van.

Both vehicles sustained damage but were still drive-able after the collision.

Neither of the drivers sustained injury.

In this case, the Timmins Police Service has charged a 29 year old female Timmins resident with Follow Too Closely contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.
