Construction activities for Phase 1 of the Connecting Link Project have begun in Timmins, thanks to a $3 Million funding announcement from the Provincial Government’s Connecting Link Program.

For the week of August 22-26 – The Bruce Avenue intersection will continue to be closed for grading, curb work and culvert work. Motorists are advised to follow posted detour signs.

The Highway 101 westbound lanes will be closed in the area of Tisdale Cemetery for excavation work, with one lane of traffic in each direction provided in the eastbound lanes. Lane closure and advance warning signs will be posted.

Pavement rehabilitation work on Highway 101 will start on Wednesday, August 24. The eastbound lanes will be closed from Tisdale Cemetery to Bruce Avenue, with one lane of traffic in each direction provided in the westbound lanes. Lane closure and advance warning signs will be posted.

Motorists are advised to slow down through the construction zone and observe the maximum 60km/h speed signs.
