Timmins resident claims $75K lottery prize

Manda Harvey of Timmins is $75,000 richer after winning the top prize on Instant Sweet Cash.

“I enjoy playing different INSTANT games,” shared Manda while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto where she picked up her winnings. “I decided to buy a few scratch tickets at the store. At first I thought I had won $3, then $75. When I realized it was the top prize, I jumped up and ran to share the news with my family!”

Manda passed the ticket to her husband, who immediately told the boys to get their shoes on because they were heading to the store. “The first thing we did when we got to the store was use the ticket checker. ‘Big Winner’ appeared on the screen. I’m sure the entire store heard me screaming! I can’t describe the excitement I felt in that moment,” she recalled.

Manda and her family have big plans for the win. “Our boys are young and, of course, wanted to celebrate with a new toy or two. I will be treating myself to braces, and my husband’s dream is a dirt bike. We are also ready to buy a home, and this win makes it possible. We’re going to use this as an opportunity to better our lives,” she smiled.
