Timmins Police Official-Badge

The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into a disturbance which occurred at approximately 12:30 p.m. on September 1st that resulted in a victim sustaining a stab wound to the leg.

A resident of a Kirby Street apartment entered into an argument with the male tenant of an adjacent apartment of the same building.

The argument escalated to the point where the suspect is alleged to have assaulted the victim with an edged weapon.

The victim’s injuries required medical attention at the Timmins and District Hospital.

An investigation was initiated and the suspect was identified, located and arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

Theodore CIESLAK, 58, of Timmins has been charged with:

  • One count of Assault with a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Utter Threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

He remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing scheduled for this morning at Provincial
Court in Timmins.
