Timmins Police Official-Badge

The Timmins Police Service has charged a 30 year old Porcupine, Ontario, man with a number of sex and child porn related charges, based on the completion of a 2 month investigation.

A complaint regarding alleged illicit Internet behaviour between the suspect and a female victim was reported to the Timmins Police Service in early July.

An intensive investigation was undertaken by the Timmins Police Service involving officers from the Criminal Investigations Division and E-Crime Section.

The suspect was identified and arrested yesterday by the Timmins Police Service.

John Joseph LAJAMBE, 30, of Porcupine, has been charged with:

  • One count of Sexual Interference with a Person Under 16 Years of Age contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Three counts of make Sexually Explicit Material Available to a Person Under 18 years of Age contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Possession of Child Pornography contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused man remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for tomorrow morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
