Threat forces schools in PEI, Nova Scotia to evacuate

Police say all schools on Prince Edward Island are being evacuated because of a “potential threat.”

Few details are available, but the RCMP say staff are taking students to safe locations and buses are meeting them there.

They say parents are asked to wait for further instructions to pick up their children once the facilities are cleared.

Three schools in Nova Scotia—NSCC Marconi Campus, Cape Breton University and the NSCC technology campus in Halifax—have also been evacuated due to potential threats.
