After having their trail washed out last year, the Spook Walk is making a return this weekend.

It is Rainbow Stables’ biggest fundraiser of the year, and will have plenty of things going on.

Volunteer Coordinator Char Morin says they have the trail ready to go, but is wanting to remind anyone going to dress appropriately.

“It’s going to be cold and it’s colder and damper in the bush,” she said, “And wear rubber boots cause the trail gets pretty squished down after everybody walks through it and get some mud coming through.”

Morin says they get “a few thousand” people coming through, and isn’t setting a goal on how much money they want to raise.

There are prizes available for displays and a pumpkin carving contest.

The contest is in three categories: junior elementary (Grade 6 and under), senior elementary (Grade 7-8) and high school.

You are asked to bring the carved pumpkin to the event and they will be judged on Saturday.

Entry is $5 for adults, while children 14 and under get in for $3.
