A disturbance on Belanger Street is leading to 24 charges for a Timmins man.

Police say they are investigating the disturbance that occurred during the morning hours of November 3rd.

Timmins Police officers responded to the scene and began to investigate the disturbance.

The officers interviewed the victim and, after a physical altercation where the suspect allegedly attempted to flee the scene, completed an arrest.

The suspect was found to be in possession quantities of suspected cocaine and marijuana when searched incident to arrest.

Based on the investigation, Dustin DONIVAN, 28, of Timmins has been charged with:

  • Two counts of Aggravated Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts of Common Assault contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts of Assault With a Weapon contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Escape Lawful Custody contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Resist Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance contrary to the Controlled Drug and Substances Act
  • Seven counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Seven counts of Fail to Comply with Recognizance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The Timmins Police Service is completing its investigation into an incident involving a person who is alleged to have made threats against another person and the police.

Timmins Police officers were alerted to the incident which is alleged to have occurred on a bus making its way to the Timmins area.

The officers located the suspect a short while later in the downtown core of Timmins and completed an arrest without incident.

Based on the investigation, Jimmy DUMOUCHEL, 26, of Timmins has been charged with:

  • One count of Uttering Threats contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Three counts of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The Timmins Police Service is completing its investigation into an incident where a local man is alleged to have engaged in a continued, deliberate and persistent harassment of residents of their home located in the north end of the city.

Timmins Police officers responded to the call for service and interviewed the alleged victims.

The suspect was located by the Timmins Police Service and was arrested without incident.

Based on the investigation, Barry GODIN, 42, of Timmins has been charged with:

  • One count of Criminal Harassment contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The Timmins Police Service is completing its investigation into an incident involving a person who is alleged to have been creating a disturbance early this morning outside his residence in the south end of the city.

Timmins Police officers responded to the call for service and located the suspect in a highly agitated state.

The officers became involved in a physical confrontation with the suspect in the course of completing the arrest for breaching the peace.

Based on the investigation, Irvin TAPAS, 35, of Timmins has been charged with:

  • One count of Resist Peace Officer contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
