The Timmins Police Service is completing its investigation into an incident involving theft and causing a disturbance.

Officers were called to a local pharmacy on Algonquin Blvd in Timmins yesterday evening in response to a call for service regarding a suspicious person on the premises.

Upon interviewing the person, she is alleged to have been found to be in possession of stolen goods from the store and became verbally abusive towards the officers and store personnel.

As a result, Stephanie LAROCQUE, 29, of Timmins, has been arrested and charged with:

  • One count of Theft Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Cause Disturbance contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • One count of Fail to comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
