People of all walks of life continue to scoop up Stars and Thunder tickets.

And while sales have slowed down since the initial launch on December 1st, a good chunk of the $3.5-million dollars plus it will take to put on the festival is already covered.

So far, the city has sold nearly $2.7-million dollars in tickets for next year’s festival.

That amounts to over 11,700 tickets sold, over 8,000 of them being the full eight-day package.  Whether that’s VIP or non-VIP wasn’t revealed.

Treasurer Jim Howie says they’re working on arrangements for accommodations, adding to expect another jump in sales once those issues are worked out.

You can purchase your tickets to Stars and Thunder at the tax desk on the first floor of city hall during regular business hours.

That would be Monday-Friday from 8:30am to 4:30pm.

You can also buy tickets and find out more about the festival at StarsAndThunder.com
