The fire department is having their turn for budget requests in 2017.

Fire Chief Mike Pintar says they’re looking for a 3.1% increase from last year’s budget.  This money—which would work out to be just under $226,000—would mostly cover off salaries and benefits.

However, Pintar adds the rest will cover off expenses such as a new pumper and a new rescue truck.
