The Timmins Police Service is in the midst of investigating two robberies which occurred today in the city of Timmins.

A first robbery occurred at the Mac’s Milk variety store on Dwyer Avenue in Schumacher where a man wearing a disguise approached the cashier and demanded money.

The unknown male suspect fled with merchandise and an undisclosed amount of cash.

A second robbery occurred a short while later at the Chevy Bait variety store on King Street in Porcupine.

Here again, a man, who police believe is responsible for both robberies, approached the cashier and demanded money.

The suspect made off with merchandise and an undisclosed amount of cash in this instance as well.

The Timmins Police Service is working in conjunction with the OPP’s canine unit to locate the suspect.

The suspect is described as a male party with a thin build wearing a black “snow boarder style jacket with white vertical stripes and a scripted logo on the front along with a dark backpack and a light green scarf covering his face.
