The Timmins Police Service has completed its investigation into an occurrence involving indecent and sexually graphic phone calls made from a local hotel.

It is alleged that during the early morning hours of Friday March 24th, a male suspect is alleged to have made a series of phone calls with graphic and sexually explicit messages.

The suspect is alleged to have left such phone messages on the answering machine of a local church in Timmins.

It is further alleged that the suspect spoke with a female victim at her residence during a separate phone call.

The suspect had been identified, located, and arrested by the Timmins Police Service.

As a result, Paul WESLEY, 32, of Timmins has been charged with:

  • Two counts of Make Indecent Communications contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
  • Two counts Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
