The defending Timmins Men’s Soccer League champions continued to coast, but had to go through their rival this week. For the Timmins Women’s Soccer League, a slew of cancellations took them off the pitch over the last seven days.

Timmins United started the week off Tuesday with a 14-1 drubbing of the lowly Gunners FC, and followed that up Thursday with a decisive 7-3 win over Let’s Try Soccer Again.

TUFC then finished the week Sunday with a perfect 3-0 record, after a 3-2 win over the rival Kapuskasing Longhorns.

Meantime, the Rebels got two wins of their own on the week. First, they beat Blizzard 4-2 on Tuesday and continued that Sunday with a 6-0 win over Gunners FC (pictured).

Soccer action continues Monday night for the women, pending thunderstorm activity in the region.
