A Timmins woman driving on Highway 17 in Walden is facing impaired driving-related charges.

OPP from Sudbury say 47-year old Candy Mae Young was located and stopped Saturday afternoon just before 2pm, adding an investigation revealed other drivers were concerned with the way the vehicle “was being operated.”

OPP say upon speaking with Young, it was believed she was under the influence of alcohol.

Young faces charges of “Driving while Ability Impaired” and “Driving with More than 80 mgs” in her system.

She’s scheduled to appear in court June 28th, her license has been suspended for 90 days and the vehicle was impounded for seven days.
