Canadian musician Tyler Shaw will take his talents to Timmins for this year’s Rock on the River.

As first announced on KiSS 99.3’s morning show Tuesday, Shaw will be added to Friday’s lineup that already has Coleman Hell and Classified on the bill.

The 24-year old gained notoriety after winning MuchMusic’s “CocaCola Covers Contest” in 2012 and his debut album “Yesterday” in 2015 made him an artist on the rise.

He released the hit song “Kiss Goodnight,” which reached Platinum status in 2016.

More recently, he’s released hits such as “House of Cards” and “Wicked.”

Even with the addition, ticket prices will stay the same.

$80 for the two-day pass and $50 each individual day, while kids 10 and under get in free with a donation to a local charity.

Go to TimminsFestivals.com to purchase tickets online. You can also get hard copies at Alfie’s Cigar Store, Ray Perrier Music or Wicked Stuff.
