Over the weekend (July 14-17), Timmins Police officers responded to more than 200 calls for service. Several charges were laid as a result of various incidents that took place.

On July 15, at approximately 6:21 p.m., police received a report of an unwanted male at a residence near the City’s centre. It is alleged that a male individual entered a residence, damaging property and making threats to the resident, who was known to the accused. Upon further investigation, police determined that the accused was bound by a recognizance, and was breaching several conditions of the recognizance.

As a result, Jeremy ROTUNDO, 21, of Timmins faces charges of Uttering Threats, Assault with a weapon, Mischief under $5000, and Breach of Recognizance X3. He was held in custody pending a bail hearing scheduled for today, July 17.

Also on July 15, at approximately 10:15 p.m., police responded to a call regarding a break & enter at a residence in Timmins. Police arrived and located the accused on scene. Further investigation revealed that the individual was bound by a probation order.

As a result of this incident, Wendel MARTIN, 29, of Timmins faces charges of Break, Enter and Commit Indictable Offence, and Breach of Probation X2.

He was held in custody pending a bail hearing, which was scheduled for July 17th.
