Timmins Police say four people were charged with impaired driving offenses over the last two calendar months.

Looking at the incidents, the people range between 26 and 57 years of age and all were released on Promises to Appear with future court dates scheduled.

They say all of them were the result of citizens calling in to report suspected impaired drivers, and police encourage residents to continue with this practice.

“Signs of impaired drivers could include drifting or weaving in and out of traffic lanes, sudden or erratic braking, failure to turn on headlights at night, slow response to traffic signals, or signaling that is inconsistent with driving actions, among others,” police say in a release.

“Suspected impaired drivers should always be reported by calling 9-1-1.”
