The Hearst Lumberjacks tied things up when they won the second game in the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League East Division quarter-final on Monday night. The Timmins Rock had won the first game on Saturday and this time the Lumberjacks came out strong, scoring the winning goal in the second period, leaving the game at 3-2 for the Lumberjacks. This leaves the NOJHL quarter-finals at 1-1 with one game to go.

The Monday night game had an enthusiastic crowd of over 1,100 fans cheering players on at the McIntyre Arena. The Timmins Rock pushed hard, trying to land a tie in the third period, but the Lumberjacks ended up with the win.

It’ll come down to a dramatic conclusion with the third game in the three-game series happening this Wednesday, March 14th. The Lumberjacks host the Rock at 7 p.m. at the Claude Larose Arena.
