**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE MEDIA RELEASE**

Volleyball supremacy in Timmins is on the line as officers from the Timmins Police Service have accepted a challenge from local grade 7 and 8 students from Ecole Catholique Anicet-Morin.

A test of skill, strategy and athletic ability will determine who has the bragging rights in Timmins regarding volleyball expertise.

The true winner will be the community as all funds raised will go towards the operational budget for Safe Haven, a local shelter operating to provide residency to the less fortunate.

The charity volleyball match will take place in the gymnasium at Anicet Morin (1070 Power Avenue) on Friday, May 11th.

A warm up session will take place at Anicet Morin at roughly 1:15 p.m. with a match against grade 7 and 8 students at 1:30

This will be followed by a match against Anicet Morin teachers.

The Timmins Police Service is eager to demonstrate court dominance and community spirit at this charity event.

The general public, parents and off duty police personnel are welcome to attend.
