**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE MEDIA RELEASE**

The Timmins Police are manning a public information booth at the Timmins Square in keeping with its annual Police Week activities.

Information ranging from crime prevention tips to anti-bullying strategies are being made available to the public by Timmins Police Community Service Officers.

Helping send public safety messaging is Darren the DARE lion and Tom Cruiser, the Timmins Police automated mini cruiser.

The public is invited to attend the information booth at the Timmins Square to retrieve information pertaining to public safety and crime prevention.

Youngers can participate in a coloring contest while teens can take part in an interactive driving simulation designed to demonstrate first-hand the dangers of distracted driving.

The Timmins Police welcome commentary from the public so that areas of concern can be brought to their attention.
