**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police responded to a report of a suspicious male scaling backyard fences in a residential neighborhood in the south end of the city of Timmins yesterday afternoon.

While patrolling the area, the Timmins Police were made aware of a break-in to an apartment in the area where an electronic gaming device had been stolen.

The responding Timmins Police Service officers began their investigation and quickly had a description of the stolen item.

While completing patrols of the immediate area, a suspect was located.

Based on investigative measures undertaken by the officers, the suspect was arrested without incident and the stolen item in question was recovered a short while later.

Dominique SCOTT, 28, of Timmins was arrested and charged with:

– Break and Enter of Dwelling House contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Mischief Under $5000 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Possession of Property obtained by Crime contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Fail to Comply with Probation Order contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused has been held in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated to take place this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins.
