Timmins born singer and songwriter, Celeste Levis is back in the local spotlight as she comes to Timmins to film a new Canadian TV series.

The show is called “Balade a Toronto” and is a National TV campaign to showcase Canadian superstars and where they come from.

Levis, a former “La Voix” contestant, is in Timmins today shooting her segment about growing up here in Northern Ontario. Shooting will take place over two days here in Timmins, starting this morning at Christopher’s Coffee House.

Levis was on KISS 99.3’s Mark Kinsman Morning Show yesterday and spoke about the new show. “Just in the next week, actually, I’ll be down a few times in Timmins, for June,” she told him. “I’m going to be filming on a TV show that’s called “Balade a Toronto”. And they’re coming to Timmins, actually, to discover where I’m from.”

She went on to gush about how excited she is to promote her home town. “I’m really happy to be able to incorporate my hometown with all the great projects that are happening.”

Levis currently lives in Ottawa but her roots remain in Timmins.

Levis will be back for Stars and Thunder on June 24th, when she’ll perform as part of the Jean Baptiste Day celebrations.
