**SCIENCE TIMMINS MEDIA RELEASE**

On Wednesday, June 27, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. St. Mary’s Gardens is sponsoring free admission at Science Timmins for seniors aged 60 and over.

“We’re excited for seniors to discover all that Science Timmins has to offer,” says Antoine Garwah, President and CEO of Science Timmins. “Our hands on activities are meant to engage people in science and leave a lasting impression whether you are 2 or 102.”

Seniors can check out exhibits, learn how to use a tablet, have a culinary experience, interact with animals, and learn about high tech equipment. The exhibits and displays encourage visitors to demystify science in a simple and fun way. Science Timmins hopes to help seniors understand how science applies in the real world.

“Not every retirement residence has a science centre in their building,” said Dawna Carrier, Community Relations Coordinator for St. Mary’s Gardens. “We’re excited to be able to highlight what Science Timmins has to offer.”

St. Mary’s Gardens will be on hand at Science Timmins.  Snacks and refreshments will be served. And, entertainment will be available in the pub at St. Mary’s Gardens at 2 p.m.

Science Timmins is located at 225 Fifth Street, Science Village Lane. On street parking available on Pine Street North and Cedar Street North.
