The first day of Stars and Thunder 2018 was a big success, with over 3,300 people checking out the music, vendors and activities at Hollinger Park.

Among the highlights were performances by Timmins-native Celeste Levis, Roch Voisine and Marc Dupre, who filled in for his friend, Eric Lapointe. The night ended with a roaring display of fireworks from Team Brazil. You can watch those here.

Day 2 of the festival will have more performances and plenty of activities, with the Stars and Thunder Village opening today in downtown Timmins. The Urban Park Market is open from 10 AM to 3 PM this Monday, June 25th, to Friday, June 29th. There will be fresh produce, baked goods, handmade products and more, on sale at the Market on Second Avenue and Pine St. South.

The Stars and Thunder Village is open from 9 AM to 3 PM, this Monday to Friday. The Village will feature children’s activities, including a rock wall, mini-putt, and bouncy castles! There’s also a Legoland set up so kids can build and play with LEGO’s and EverBlocks. There’s even a Creative Clubhouse with interactive LEGO building inside! You can find all the children’s activities on Third Avenue and Spruce St. South.
