Day 5 of Stars and Thunder brought the country, and the thunder.

A bit of rain didn’t keep crowds away as people got to enjoy some country music at Hollinger Park last night.

Timmins own Wyatt Young started things off yesterday shortly after the gates opened at 3 PM. Then the Chris Buck Band got the crowd on their feet.

Aaron Goodvin took the stage next, followed by Lindsay Ell, who proved to be an audience favorite, drawing in a big crowd.

Lindsay Ell opened for headliner Gord Bamford, who took the stage at 9. He was greeted by a huge audience, with lots of people on their feet, dancing the night away during his set.

The night ended with another jaw-dropping display of fireworks, this time from Team China’s Celebration Fireworks Culture Group. You can watch a video of the fireworks display from last night, here.

Tonight, more country music is on the lineup for Day 6 of Stars and Thunder. Music lovers can look forward to seeing High Valley at 7:15 PM, followed by headliner, Paul Brandt at 9 PM.
