**CITY OF TIMMINS MEDIA RELEASE**

The Timmins Fire Department will be part of the TV show Hellfire Heroes on the Discovery Channel.

During a period of approximately three months, a Discovery Channel team will follow and film the Fire Department’s activities both during emergency operations and during training activities.

The Discovery Channel team ensures that it will meet the highest standards of respect for people and will not release any information that identifies people without their consent.

The goal of the Hellfire Heroes show is to demonstrate to the public the quality of the service offered to the population as well as the high level of professionalism of the firefighters.

The Timmins Fire Department is pleased to be part of Hellfire Heroes Season 2 programming on Discovery Channel.

The Timmins Fire Department has 21 response vehicles, and is composed of 34 full-time firefighters, 140 volunteer firefighters. The service operates 7 fire stations; 5 fire stations with volunteer firefighters, 1 fire station with full-time and volunteer firefighters and 1 airport fire station.
