**Timmins Police Services News Release**


The Timmins Police Service has charged an Iroquois Falls man stemming from an incident which occurred during the afternoon hours of Saturday, August 4th.

While performing general patrol of his assigned zone, a Timmins Police Service officer had occasion to observe a pickup truck that was the subject of an earlier traffic complaint.

The officer interviewed the driver once he had the driver come to a safe stop.

Based on the outcome of a roadside breath test using an Approved Screening Device, the driver was arrested and taken into custody in order to complete Intoxilyzer breath testing procedures.

As a result of the incident, Mario GIGUERE, 46, of Iroquois Falls, has been charged with:
– Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada
– Operate Motor Vehicle – Over 80 Mgs of Alcohol in 100 Milliliters of Blood contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused was released from custody and is required to attend Provincial Court on August 14th to answer to the charges laid against him.
