**TEMISKAMING OPP NEWS RELEASE**


On September 24, 2018 at approximately 7:15 p.m. members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a call involving a missing 12 year-old boy in crisis.

Officers located the 12 year-old boy under a bridge. While officers were talking to the boy he ended up into the cold water and swift current of the Wabi River. Officers jumped into the water and the boy was successfully rescued. Neither the officers nor the boy sustained any injuries.

The youth was apprehended under the Mental Health Act and transported to hospital.
