“United Way is about working together to build a safety net to ensure that when people need help, it’s available. It is by uniting together – through each person’s investment of dollars and time – that we are able to create a better community here in Timmins and across North Eastern Ontario,” said Jennifer Gorman (Regional Manager with UWCNEO).

For 50 years, United Way has worked together with thousands of citizens and built strong partnerships with businesses, government, labour, education and health institutes to raise funds to help address and alleviate community needs.

United Way prioritizes community needs and invests in local programs in areas proven to be foundational building blocks of healthy lives and communities. From helping children and youth succeed, to changing poverty to possibility and to building strong communities.

“The successes of this year’s campaign will be based on the number of people we can help. By addressing community needs at a local level, United Way will be working closely with stakeholders to increase the number of people helped across our region” adds Gorman.
