**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


Early this morning, members of the Timmins Police Service responded to a fire at a residential structure commonly known as the Good Samaritan Inn in South Porcupine.

They rendered assistance to first responders from Timmins EMS and the Timmins Fire Department.
For public safety reasons, a perimeter has been set up and is maintained by the Timmins Police Service.

As a precautionary measure, the Criminal Investigations Division of the Timmins Police Service has been deployed in an effort to determine the origin of the fire.

They are in the preliminary stages of their investigation and are working in consultation with the Fire Marshall’s Office.

The general public is asked to maintain a respectful distance from this fire scene for public safety reasons.
