The postal strike has hit Timmins.  While negotiations continue, the Canadian Union of Postal Workers (CUPW) confirms that strike action began today in Timmins with workers walking off the job.  Since October 22nd more than 70 communities across the country have been affected by CUPW’s rotating strikes.

While Canada Post has attempted to minimize service interruptions, their largest processing facilities in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal have been shut down for up to 48 hours resulting in a large backlog of packages, parcels and mail waiting to be processed.
