**TIMMINS POLICE SERVICE NEWS RELEASE**


The Timmins Police Service has charged a local woman stemming from an investigation where a complaint had been received on Saturday, November 17th into threatening behavior allegedly undertaken by the woman.

The suspect was located by a Timmins Police Service officer later that same day in South Porcupine.

The suspect was arrested and taken into custody where, in the course of a search incident to arrest, was found to be in possession of an edged weapon.

As a result, Sarah ELIOT, 36, of Timmins has been charged with:
– Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

The accused remains in police custody awaiting a bail hearing slated for this morning at Provincial Court in Timmins to answer r to the charge laid against her.
