**TEMISKAMING OPP NEWS RELEASE**

On November 18, 2018 shortly before 9:00 p.m. a member of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) stopped a northbound vehicle going more than 150 kilometres per hour (km/h) in a posted 90 km/h zone, on Highway 11, in the City of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario.

The 25-year-old driver, Samuel MEANDRO, of Temiskaming Shores, Ontario is charged with:

  • Race a motor vehicle – stunt, contrary to section 172(1) of the Highway Traffic Act (HTA).

 

His driver’s licence was seized and the vehicle was towed from the scene and impounded for seven days. The driver was released by way of summons. He is scheduled to appear at court on December 13, 2018, in Haileybury, Ontario.
